Code of Conduct for King’s College School alumni and other members of the King’s Association.
Anyone using the King’s College School online community platform (King’s Association) must follow our Code of Conduct.
We expect all users to be:
Code of Conduct for King’s College School Alumni and King’s Association constituents
This platform is provided primarily for the benefit of the King’s Association community of pupils, parents and alumni. It is acceptable for individuals to utilise this resource for personal use provided that usage is reasonable, sensible and in line with the wider school values. King’s College School provides a digital platform on which constituents can create and join online communities based on shared interests or experiences. Online communities may include forums containing the personal opinions and other expressions of the persons who post entries or contribute content on a wide range of topics. Participants in online communities may not represent or imply that their opinions represent those of King’s College School.
Additionally, by using any King’s College School digital platform, you agree to the above and to conduct yourself in a respectful and appropriate manner in connection with any activity, communication, or digital offering. We welcome all viewpoints as long as the tone of the discussion is respectful. Avoid offensive, discriminatory, or harmful language, including but not limited to hate speech, bullying, or harassment based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, or personal beliefs.
Prohibited conduct includes:
Copyrighted material, including without limitation software, graphics, text, photographs, sound, video, and musical recordings, may not be placed on digital offerings without the express permission of the owner of the copyright of the material, or other legal entitlement to use the material. Any person posting material protected by copyright for the benefit of any third-party represents and warrants consent or permission has been obtained to post such materials.
All communication should be conducted via the messaging function on this engagement platform. This is both to manage the safeguarding of users and to enable us to measure the usage of the King’s Association Hub.
All online community participants and organisers agree not to post or facilitate the posting of any material in violation of the Code of Conduct. Online community participants and organisers also agree to provide reasonable assistance at the request of King’s College School and its representatives to address any violations of this policy as determined by King’s College School. Participants and organisers also agree not to use the online community for any activity that violates any law.
You may not attempt to use or distribute tools designed for compromising security or take any action to compromise the security of any site. Examples of these tools include but are not limited to password guessing programs, cracking tools, or network probing tools. You may not "flood" or disrupt the digital offerings through any means or process.
You may not copy, scrape, download, export or otherwise capture any data obtained in the digital offerings and/or store it outside of the system, e.g., in a separate spreadsheet, email list, database, or another external repository. You agree that you will not access or attempt to access any other user’s account or misrepresent or attempt to misrepresent your identity while using the Websites.
Statements or postings which violate the aforementioned terms will be deleted upon discovery. King’s College School reserves the right to warn, suspend or ban any person from access to constituent resources and events for violation of the above.
Monitoring
King’s College reserves the right to monitor content posted by users to its digital platforms and reserves the right to remove all or any portion of an online community’s information from the platform at any time and at King’s College School's sole discretion. King’s College School reserves the right to remove content that violates the above rules of which it becomes aware.
Confidentiality is not guaranteed, anyone using the community platform is aware that King’s College School reserves the right to read any message sent through the platform, although it will not monitor any conversation unless a concern is raised. Any unlawful use under the law of England and Wales will result in appropriate action being taken. Users may not use the platform in a way that may cause offence to other users on grounds of gender, race, religious belief, sexual orientation, disability or otherwise.
It is essential that you do not divulge your username or password to anyone else, as you alone are responsible for access and security of your profile.

Code of Conduct for King’s pupils:
Anyone taking part in the King’s Association platform must follow our Code of Conduct. We ask that pupils be polite, respectful and professional to each other at all times. King's College School reserves the right to read messages sent through the King's Association platform.
You should always treat the platform and those with whom you communicate through it, with respect.
Pupils only have access to the King’s Association platform to register for events and view some of the content, but do not have access to any messaging functionality. This is for safeguarding reasons.
