The King’s Association is excited to kick off the Enlightening Minds speaker series with a lecture by Emma Ridgway, Director of the Foundling Museum, on Tuesday, November 12. Her talk, titled "Foundlings, Care and the Arts," will explore poignant stories of love and loss through art and artifacts from the museum, which has a rich history dating back over 275 years.
The series aims to spark intellectual curiosity within the King’s community, featuring experts sharing insights from their fields. Emma Ridgway has an impressive background, including curating the British Pavilion at the 2022 Venice Art Biennale and roles at various prestigious institutions.
Admission is free, but tickets must be reserved in advance. The lecture is suitable for audiences aged 13 and older due to mature themes.
