Ashok Aram is Founder and Managing Partner of Thesiger Capital, where he leads investments focused on strengthening Europe’s strategic autonomy and resilience.
With nearly 30 years’ experience across banking, investments and capital markets, Ashok has held senior leadership roles in London, Tokyo, Singapore, Frankfurt, New York and Dubai. He previously served as CEO of Europe and a member of the Group Management Committee at Deutsche Bank (2016–2020), following six years as CEO for the Middle East and Africa.
During his career, Ashok has led some of Europe’s largest M&A and capital markets transactions across multiple sectors and has invested more than US$2.8 billion in private equity opportunities globally. Since 2020, he has focused on technology, defence and security investments, with recent investments including Fluidstack, Quantum Systems and Stark Defence Systems.
Ashok holds a Master’s degree in International Business and Comparative Culture from Sophia University, Tokyo, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from Anna University, Chennai.
Anna Skoglund is Co-Head of Investment Banking for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Goldman Sachs, where she also leads the Financial and Strategic Investors Group in the region, advising private equity firms and other leading financial investors. She is a member of the firm's European Management Committee, Investment Banking Executive Committee and Partnership Committee.
Based in London, Anna has spent nearly three decades at Goldman Sachs, having joined the firm in 1996. During her career, she has advised clients on a broad range of mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing transactions across sectors including technology, media, telecommunications, consumer and retail. She was named Managing Director in 2007 and Partner in 2018.
A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Anna has held a number of leadership roles within Goldman Sachs' inclusion networks and is actively involved in mentoring the next generation of business leaders. Outside the firm, she serves on the Global Board of The Nature Conservancy and supports a number of charitable and educational initiatives.
