Dr Roland W. Tegeder Biography:
Dr. Roland W. Tegeder is active at the intersection of finance, AI technologies, and healthcare innovation. He currently serves as CEO of HOLOGEN AI, a clinical-stage artificial intelligence company that has developed frontier AI Large Medicine Models to make late-stage clinical trials systematically more likely to succeed, transforming the pharma industry.
Dr. Tegeder is a Founding and Managing Partner of the SW7 Group, a firm building technology businesses like HOLOGEN AI, as well as the Chairman and a Founding Partner of the RAIN Foundation LBG, focused on investing in solutions for de-carbonising hard-to-abate industries.
Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Roland spent 12 years in investment banking, including serving as a partner at Goldman Sachs. At Goldman, he was a member of the Asian Securities Division Operating Committee, responsible for its derivative, quant, and strategic transactions businesses.
He retired from Goldman Sachs to co-found the SW7 Group in London in 2015, to pursue his twin passion of deal making and mathematics.
Under his leadership, HOLOGEN AI has attracted significant attention in the healthcare sector, partnering with established biotech companies and securing substantial backing from notable figures including Eric Schmidt, former CEO of Google.
Academically, Dr. Tegeder holds an MA and PhD in mathematics from St John's College, University of Cambridge.
