Building Futures Through Education and Partnership

The Obera Schools’ Project is a partnership between King’s College Junior School and primary schools in a remote rural community in south-west Kenya, founded in 2005 by former King’s teacher Andrew Baker. Each year, pupils and families at King’s raise funds through a range of charitable activities, and the school chooses to support the Obera Schools’ Project as one of its nominated causes, helping to expand educational opportunities and strengthen meaningful connections between our communities.

Over the past two decades, the King’s community has raised almost £500,000, helping to build classrooms, libraries and clean water facilities for more than 1,500 children, while giving King’s pupils a deeper understanding of global citizenship, empathy and the transformative power of collective action.

Help us raise funds for charity this year, with proceeds supporting the Obera Schools’ Project and its continued work to improve educational opportunities for children in Kenya.
