Brian Cope (OK 1953) died on 5 November 2019 after a car had collided with him on his bicycle some months before. He read Physics at Imperial College London and had a varied career as a consultant and executive for a variety of organisations, including engineering, electronics, security and latterly rail sectors. During retirement he spent a year under the auspices of the British Executive Service Overseas (BESO) privatising the railway in Jordan which had been connected with Lawrence of Arabia. He loved sailing and travel. Alan Bott (OK 1953) was best man at Brian and Lois’s wedding and the Rev John Andrews (OK 1954 ) helped marry them. Both John and Alan, who read a lesson at his Thanksgiving Service held in Chichester Cathedral on 3 January 2020.
