Andrew Ellams (OK 1990) won an entrance scholarship to King’s in 1983, joining the Lower Removes. In his final year, he was a made a house prefect (Layton). Andrew left King’s in 1990 and went to Brasenose College, Oxford, to read PPE.
Andrew forged a successful career in the Education sector, becoming a respected and inspirational teacher. From 2004 to 2012 he was Head of Economics and Politics at Merchant Taylors’ School. He then moved to St Paul’s Girls’ School where he was Director of Studies, later becoming Senior Deputy Head and Director of Studies.
Andrew passed away in August 2025. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.
