Geoffrey Taylor arrived at King’s in 1961 and taught History, later becoming the Head of the History Department. He championed the introduction of community service, which he ran as an alternative to the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), and was Master-In-Charge of the cricket 1st XI. He left King’s in 1974 to take up the post of Deputy Head at the Judd School in Tonbridge. He remained very proud of his association with King’s and took an active interest in the school throughout the rest of his life.
Geoffrey passed away on 1 December 2023.
