David Thompson was a pupil at King’s from 1945 to 1953. His sons Paul (OK 1978) and Keith (OK 1980) also attended the school.
David was an outstanding sportsman. At King’s he played in the first rugby, cricket and hockey teams and was awarded the Scarf Shield for the best sportsman of the year. He went on to play rugby for the Harlequins and Surrey and for the Old Boys team. He won an England International trial and was a stalwart of Sutton Cricket Club.
