Barry Baldwin was a pupil in the senior school at King’s from 1947 to 1952. Whilst there, he took an active role in school life. He was a school prefect, a sergeant in CCF, an editor of the school magazine, a founder committee member of the CEWC and played in the 1st XI hockey team.
After King’s, Barry forged a successful career; among his many roles were chairman of the Union of Independent Companies, vice-president of the Small Business Bureau and director of independent business services at Price Waterhouse. In 1991 he was appointed the special advisor to the minster for small firms. He was also a trustee of Guy’s Hospital.
Barry passed away on 14 December 2021.
