Reunions |
Over 100 alumni from the Class of 2023 returned to King’s for their first class reunion, the One-Year-On-BBQ. Hosted by the King’s Association - which brings together members of the wider King's community including alumni, parents, and staff - this annual tradition sees last year’s leavers come back to school to catch up with one another, chat to former teachers about their adventures since leaving the school, and to eat and drink together.
Despite the grey skies, the One-Year-On-BBQ was a joyous occasion, marked by many happy reunions and packed with warmth and camaraderie, as former students eagerly recounted their first-year experiences at university, travelling or in the workforce. Mr Chris Sandels, Assistant Head and Head of Middle School, delivered a heartfelt welcome at the start of the evening, providing updates on school news, upcoming events, and various ways for our alumni to stay connected with the school. Alexander Malmaeus, Chair of the Old King’s Club, addressed the former students, inviting them to participate in events hosted by the Old King’s Club. This was followed by a lively group photo, which was an enjoyable challenge to coordinate!
It was a pleasure to witness the Class of 2023 thriving, and we eagerly anticipate their return to King’s for their next reunion, "Life at 25" in 2031.
