Lauren Pereira-Greene’s time at King’s helped shape a commitment to service, leadership and widening opportunity that continues to define her career today. Leaving the school in 2020, she embraced the academic and co-curricular opportunities available to her while developing a strong sense of social responsibility. King’s encouraged her to think beyond her own achievements and to consider how education and opportunity can be used to create positive change for others.

After leaving King’s, Lauren pursued a career in Medicine, driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Now working as a doctor, she combines clinical excellence with a deep commitment to supporting and advocating for others. Alongside her medical training, she established a diversity initiative at university, creating opportunities for students from under-represented backgrounds and helping to foster a more inclusive environment within the medical profession. Through this work, she has sought to ensure that talented young people can see a place for themselves in medicine, regardless of their circumstances or background.

Reflecting on her journey, Lauren recognises the importance of access to opportunity and the confidence that comes from knowing others believe in your potential. She understands that education can be transformative not only for individuals, but also for the communities they go on to serve. Through her work as a doctor and her leadership in widening participation and diversity initiatives, she is already helping to change lives every day. Her story demonstrates the far-reaching impact of investing in young people, empowering them not only to fulfil their own potential, but to create opportunities and improve outcomes for countless others in the future.
