Frank Diver (OK 1953)

Frank Diver (OK 1953) passed away on 5 February 2024.

Frank Edward Diver, who passed away on 5 February 2024, was the son of the late J.R. Diver MA, Head Master of KCJS (1955-1965).

Frank attended King’s from 1943 until 1953.

Following school, he joined the Royal Army Service Corps, attaining the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, a role he adored so much he stayed beyond his two years of National Service.

After leaving the army, he worked for the shipping company Ellerman, based in the City of London, before starting a long career in the electrical insulation industry. Towards the latter part of his career, he and his wife, Barbara, moved to Cheshire, where he worked for Courtaulds until early retirement, finally settling in the picturesque village of Nannerch in north Wales. He travelled abroad extensively on business and for pleasure, and following Barbara’s death in 2008, spent time in the United States and Western Australia, visiting his sons.
